ERZFELD
Studio, Berlin
The piece Erzfeld chronicles the radioactivity of twenty four stones from uranium mines around the world. The rocks have been collected, arranged and their radioactive potential measured. The greater the radioactivity of the stone, the more pronounced the color trace on the radiadion sensitive paper.
Erzfeld pays homage to Antoine-Henri Becquerel who discovered radioactivity by chance when radioactive stones left traces on photographic plates
