The artwork "Twin CB-ZD" was created by exposing two analog photo negatives to radioactive soil samples from the Chernobyl nuclear exclusion zone. One of the negatives depicts the cooling pond of the Chernobyl power plant from a bird´s eye perspective, while the other depictes the reactor pool inside the nuclear power plant in Zwentendorf, Austria. With the work the Artists ties Ariadne´s thread between the two locations of Chernobyl and Zwentendorf, both of which have the same type of reactor model. As future might have unfolded The Zwentendorf plant could have exploded if it had been activated, while the Chernobyl disaster might not have occurred if the reactor had it never been activated. The white, cloud-like traces left by the radiation on the photographic material serve as a haunting visual representation of the invisible invisible dangers that lurk beyond the treshold of human perception.
